School of Public Health and Social Work

Bachelor of Public Health

The program trains students in individual fields of biological research with a focus on understanding, preventing and treating diseases affecting large populations.

Eligibility for 4-year program

At least 5 CSEC subjects inclusive of mathematics and English.
Education gap not more than 10 years

Eligibility for 2-year program

A 3-year Diploma in Public Health/Allied Health Science/Paramedical Science from a recognized university

(or)

A level + 2 Years Diploma in Public Health/Allied Health Science/Paramedical Science from a recognized university with three years of work experience in the health sector (applications accepted case by case)
Education gap not more than 10 years

Eligibility for a 4-year program (mode of study: part time/online)

A minimum of five subjects of CSEC general proficiency (at least Grade III) or GCE ‘O’ Level (at least Grade C). These subjects must include English, mathematics, biology (or human and social biology), and two other subjects.
‘A’ Level (with non-science subjects) and has ‘O’ level criteria as above

Master of Public Health

Teaching Method

TAU’s online programs are delivered through a uniquely designed teaching/learning methodology, the BBRRIICCSS model, exclusively designed for the distance and online learning program (DBLP). This model helps students learn the subjects in blocks. Each block lasts 2 months or 8 weeks, where students concentrate on one subject at a time. This methodology is followed for TAU’s all DBLPs as a way to help students learn the subjects online with more focus.
