PhD in Financial Management
Greetings, everyone. My name is Frimpong Henry Kwadjo. I am a qualified, certified chartered accountant. I completed and defended my PhD in Financial Management program with Texila University on the 3rd day of November 2019.
Concerning my dissertation, I was passionate about the success and survival of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana. I studied the SMEs in Ghana, and as a result, I identified that many small business operators could not survive the initial five years of operation. Therefore, I investigated the challenges and prospects of small businesses in Ghana with the spotlight on how they manage their equity. Recommendations were then given to sensitize the effective management of equity in SMEs and enable banks and financial institutions to handle SMEs properly. I believe it will help the sector continue to play an indispensable role in Ghana’s socio-economic development.
Currently, I am the Chief Executive Officer of Abagris Company Ltd. My company is into importing building materials from Asia, the production of tiles, cement, and real estate development.
Completing the PhD program with its learning methodology at Texila American University has enhanced my status, especially among my peers. The university where I lecture financial reporting and my international dealings with my business associates and financial institutions.
I feel delighted to be part of the Alumni of this noble institution.
